We would like to invite you to our next open event organised by our Equalities Working Group for the 2nd UCU National Recruitment Week (22nd – 26th Feb). Please come along and bring a colleague, members and non-members welcome. Please email us if you require disabled access or communications support. We will also be having a UCU recruitment stall in the Hub on the 26th Feb, 12-2pm, please do come along and say hello and send any colleagues who would like to become a member to come and say hello.
If you would like to get involved with the Equalities Working Group please email us, you do not have to be a member of the committee to become an activist (more details on other working groups coming soon).
“Celebrating Equality and Diversity” is an event arranged by UCU and open to all.
The event takes place on Wednesday 24th February starting at 12:00 in RCG33 (Richard Crossman building).
The question addressed is: What is being done by UCU nationally and locally, by groups and individuals, to support and celebrate equality and diversity within Higher Education?
We are pleased to welcome and introduce:
· Helen Carr – UCU National Head of Equality & Participation who will be giving the main address
· Dr Geraldine Brown whose research interest include: public policy and practise, community engagement and community action.
