Another subsidiarisation – Centre for Global Engagement (CGE) 31/03/21

Just before the Easter Break, Coventry University announced steps to break up and disband CGE across three different subsidiaries (Peoples Future Ltd., CU Group, FutureLets Ltd.)  affecting around 38 people on much worse terms and conditions.

Disbanding – Institute for Future Transport and Cities Research Centre (IFTC) 28/4/21

Today it was announced that IFTC will be disbanded and restructured affecting 114 core staff, 16 staff potentially at risk of redundancy.

During the pandemic while we have worked hard to support the university, the university has shown its appreciation by planning a whole swathe of subsidiarisations and restructures the intensity of which is unprecedented. It shows disdain for all that we achieved during the pandemic.
